Margate harbour (107K)
Ian Cugley: Margate Harbour (Watercolour)

Drying harbours were a new experience when I came to England.  This one is close at hand, as well as being a useful (and saleable) subject.  The breakwater is called a pier (in England a pier is usually something stuck straight out into the water on stilts), so that when they built an actual pier they had to call it a jetty.
