| Michael
(John) is a year and a bit younger than Damian; he did his degree
at Dundee University (Computation and Psychology) and now fritters away
his time acting and directing (including in 1998 a stint at the Edinburgh
Festival). He used to play the clarinet (I wonder what happened to
that clarinet? It cost a bomb) and play MUD at great length. His
artistic bent (and it is bent) is less comic and more grotesque
than his brother's (or mine for that matter). Examples of his recent
work can be seen on Michael's
web site. An interest in MUD has been an influence on his art, as has
his long-standing interest in non-computer role-playing games. He
explained to me several times which of Dungeons and Dragons, Tunnels and.
Trolls etc. etc. was the Only True Path, and why. Unfortunately I
never could remember which was which, and during his teen years I was always
tripping over small cast metal figures and dice with disturbing numbers
of faces which he had left lying around the house.
Michael has become the first of my children to provide me with a grandchild. |
